“Urgent Priority Fee” vs “High Priority Fee” vs “Standard Priority”

When you receive your quote, typically in your draft, you may encounter a “priority fee” which translates to the price it would cost to schedule your job. This is either a fixed fee or percentage of the job.

What is “Urgent Priority?”

Urgent priority may be suggested for projects that require immediate action where a hazard is typically present. Urgent priority project examples may include after-storm roof repair, rotten foundation repair, broken window boarding.

The project given urgent priority will be labeled as such in our scheduling. An appointed person will be in contact with you throughout the job and provide regular updates (typically upon start, during job, completion, and revisions if necessary). An appointed person will commonly be General Contractor, supervisor, foreman, office manager, or senior technician.

We will cease scheduling new large projects for the duration of the job, and put your job at top priority. You may expect to see work done past typical business hours and on weekends or holidays.

What is “High Priority”

High priority may be suggested for projects that require immediate action, where a hazard is not present. High priority examples may include move-in/move-out painting, carpentry, and drywall repair.

The project given high priority will be labeled as such in our scheduling. An appointed person will be in contact with you throughout the job and provide regular updates (typically upon start, during job, completion, and revisions if necessary). An appointed person will commonly be General Contractor, supervisor, foreman, office manager, or senior technician.

We will cease some new large projects for the duration of the job. You may expect to see work done on weekends.

What is “Standard Priority”

Standard priority is the default for most projects that require action, do not pose a threat to the safety of occupants/users of the structure, and do not need immediate attention. These are projects that can be done on a normal scheduling basis and ALTOS will not stop accepting new projects big or small.

Standard priority may include fence installation, exterior, and interior painting, cosmetic drywall repair, cabinet installation, etc.
